Job Description

The purpose of this position is to unload the stacker outfeed chains in the planer mill and haul the packages to lumber sheds for storage. The hourly rate of pay for this position is $25.68.

Key Activities:

Must be able to obtain a forklift license. Must be able to safely operate a forklift. Must complete the daily checklist on equipment according to the Mobile Equipment Procedure. Must keep lumber cleared off the planer outfeed chains in order to keep production flowing. Haul lumber safely to dry storage sheds and stack accordingly by products, grade, and length. Keep re-entry deck filled with reman to be processed during downtime at the planer mill. Keep strapper stocked with dunnage. Keep stacker stocked with lathe strips. Perform general housekeeping duties as needed. Empty waste hoppers when time permits.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Forklift license required. Ability to get along well with others. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Ability to make decisions quickly.
