Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a competent and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help us streamline our financial processes and support the organization's growth. This position offers an opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence and integrity. This role would work under and report to the Accountant. Responsibilities Record and process journal entries using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, and other financial systems Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets regularly to maintain accuracy Prepare financial reports including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries Perform account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly Process payroll accurately while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards Maintain organized records of all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and accounting standards Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, and QuickBooks Desktop Solid knowledge of corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, and public accounting practices Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation Strong skills in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and report writing Understanding of financial concepts including budgeting, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis Ability to interpret financial data accurately while adhering to accounting standards such as GAAP Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts efficiently Our Bookkeeper will work 5 hours a day, Monday through Friday.
