Job Description

Accounts Payable Clerk Location:
Durham, CT Pay:
$24.00/hour
Position Type:

Months Assignment:
Mid-October through January Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk for a temporary assignment with a well-established manufacturing company in Durham, CT. This position will support the accounting department with day-to-day accounts payable functions, invoice processing, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts payable or accounting support experience who can quickly step into a busy office environment. Responsibilities Process and enter vendor invoices accurately and efficiently Review invoices for accuracy and proper documentation Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation Assist with preparing and processing vendor payments Maintain accurate accounts payable records and files Perform account and invoice reconciliations Research and resolve invoice discrepancies Communicate with vendors regarding invoices and payment questions Enter and maintain financial information within accounting systems Assist the accounting department with additional administrative and clerical responsibilities as needed Qualifications Previous Accounts Payable experience required Strong data entry and computer skills Experience working with accounting or ERP software Understanding of invoices, purchase orders, and payment processing Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Schedule Monday-Friday | Day Shift This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately three months , making it a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking to immediately contribute to an established accounting team.
Pay Details:
