Overview Americas Gold & Silver is seeking a dedicated and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to support all functions of the accounts payable process at our Galena Complex and Crescent Mine operations. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for executing daily invoice entry, assisting with weekly vendor payments, and preparing critical accounting reports. This position provides vital, timely assistance to the Accounting Supervisor and Controller while working in close alignment with the Purchasing Department to ensure payment accuracy. The successful candidate will bring strong data entry skills, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and build professional, collaborative relationships with our vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Organize, input, and file all vendor invoices daily with high attention to detail. Assist with the processing and execution of weekly accounts payable payments to vendors. Prepare and assemble data for internal and external accounting reports as required by leadership. Work closely with the Purchasing Department and vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure absolute payment accuracy. Provide consistent and timely administrative support services to the Accounting Supervisor and Controller. Uphold the highest standard of ethical behavior in all business functions and support team financial integrity. Maintain professional and technical knowledge of accounting techniques, office systems, and compliance through professional publications and educational workshops. Contribute to the overall team effort by assisting with related financial and operational tasks as needed. Qualifications and Experience Minimum of two (2) years of progressive accounts payable or related transactional accounting experience required. Completion of college-level accounting courses or equivalent educational background is preferred. Proven knowledge of standard office practices, accounting techniques, and financial data systems. Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite software programs. Demonstrated understanding and strict acceptance of responsibility for corporate confidentiality. Accurate, high-volume data entry skills paired with strong organizational capabilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact with people at all levels of the company. Why Join Us?
