Y-Yard Auto & Truck, Inc. is looking for a dependable Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. For over 56 years , Y-Yard has been a trusted leader in the automotive recycling industry. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service while fostering a positive, team-oriented workplace where employees are valued and supported. Schedule Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM 30-minute lunch No evenings or weekends Primary Responsibilities Process customer payments accurately and efficiently Monitor customer accounts and maintain accurate records Contact customers regarding past-due balances in a professional and courteous manner Reconcile customer accounts and research payment discrepancies Prepare deposits and post daily receipts Communicate with customers regarding billing questions and payment arrangements Work closely with the sales team to resolve account issues Maintain organized customer files and documentation Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Previous accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Comfortable speaking with customers by phone and email Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office; QuickBooks experience is a plus Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to the team Why Join Y-Yard?
