Job Description

CDO GROUP
Provides General Contracting services for Multi-Unit Retail Centers, Quick Service Restaurants, Fitness Centers, Etc. Position Overview CDO Group is seeking a highly organized Accounting Coordinator to support our Finance and Accounting department. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth operation of our construction management business. The Accounting Coordinator will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, expense management, and general accounting functions for our fast-growing organization.
Location:
Oak Park, Illinois (Headquarters) Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing
  • Monitor accounts receivable and assist with billing and collection activities
  • Support payroll processing and maintain payroll records
  • Prepare expense reports and reimbursement documentation
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Maintain accurate and organized filing systems for financial documents
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Prepare financial reports and statements as requested
  • Track project costs and expenses to support project accounting
  • Support tax preparation and audit activities
  • Respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding accounting matters Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Commitment to confidentiality and data integrity Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with construction or project-based accounting
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or Desktop Procore, Smartsheets
  • Knowledge of project management and project cost tracking
  • Familiarity with multi-entity accounting
  • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable automation Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary: $55,000- $75,000 annually (based on experience)
