Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices, maintaining financial compliance, and supporting overall financial operations. Your expertise in accounting systems and financial software will help streamline our payment workflows and uphold the integrity of our financial data. Responsibilities Process and verify invoices using various financial software such as Oracle, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies Enter and process vendor invoices accurately and timely Verify POs, receiving documents, approvals and payment discrencies Research and resolve invoice , pricing, receiving and payment discrepancies Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, statements and account issues. Review vendor statements and assist with account reconciliations Work with Purchasing, Receiving, Accounting and other departments to resolve outstanding items Use Excel and ERP systems to review, organize and reconcile AP Information Assist the AP Manager with payments, reporting, reconciliations and other projects Support process improvements and other Accounting functions Previous AP, accounting, bookkeeping or related experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Comfortable learning ERP/accounting systems Dependable, accountable and able to work independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic and willingness to assist where needed Maintain organized electronic AP documentations Manage accounts payable transactions including data entry, invoice processing, and reconciling vendor statements with general ledger records Maintain detailed records of all payments, invoices, and related documentation while ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or issues related to payments or invoice approvals Support month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and accrual calculations in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Assist with accounts payable automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual processing errors Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal audit requirements during all financial transactionsSkills Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping and financial concepts Proficiency in Excel data analysis using formulas like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and spreadsheets for reporting purposes Familiarity with accounts payable processes, invoice processing, account reconciliation, and journal entries Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high accuracy in data entry and processing Excellent analysis skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment Join us at Flex Films where your expertise will contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in financial operations. Pay:
$47,500.00 - $50,000.00 per year
