Job Description

Overview Smith Accounting Services is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented part-time Bookkeeper in Denham Springs. We are looking for an organized and experienced professional to join our team. Duties Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including data entry of journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger transactions using accounting software Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data Assist with payroll processing and sales tax preparation Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements Conduct account reconciliation tasks regularly to maintain the integrity of the general ledger Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with strong knowledge of accounting systems such as ACS, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or equivalent software Experience with payroll processing, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis Sales Tax experience is required Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines Pay depends on experience.
