Salary $2,922.00 - $5,734.00 Monthly Location Jackson, LA Job Type Classified Job Number LVH223669ActTech72126 Department DVA-LA Veterans Home Opening Date 07/22/2026 Closing Date 7/27/2026 11:59 PM Central About this Job The mission of the Louisiana Veterans Homes is to primarily serve the veteran population of Louisiana by providing medical, restorative, and rehabilitative services in an atmosphere of respect and compassion. The primary objective of the home is to provide quality nursing care to eligible veterans with the ultimate goal of returning the veterans to the highest possible levels of physical and mental capacity. The Louisiana Veterans Home is seeking an Accounting Technician. The incumbent of this position performs basic accounting functions and is directly responsible for all residents' transactions as related to residents' funds, disbursements, collections compiling and analyzing data for financial control and fiscal reporting for monthly and quarterly reports. Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience or training in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, or financial operations or computations.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION

Compensation:
The minimum hire rate for the Accounting Technician is $16.86/ hourly.
