Full Job Description Job Title:
Accounts Receivable, Billing & Collections Clerk Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable, Billing & Collections Clerk to support billing and collection activities for heavy truck and trailer service and towing/recovery operations. This role is responsible for accurate invoicing, timely collections, and maintaining customer accounts related to service work, towing, recovery, labor, parts, and equipment usage. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-based environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and process customer invoices for heavy truck and trailer repairs, roadside service, towing, and recovery operations Ensure billing accuracy based on work orders, service tickets, labor hours, parts used, equipment charges, mileage, after-hours rates, and recovery fees Verify required documentation such as work orders, tow slips, and authorization forms prior to invoicing Post customer payments, apply cash, and reconcile customer accounts in QuickBooks and another proprietary software Monitor accounts receivable aging and actively manage collections on past-due accounts Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and resolve payment issues in a professional manner Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and short payments Maintain accurate customer account records and supporting documentation Assist with AR reporting and audit requests Identify opportunities to improve billing, collections, and AR processes Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred -or- 3+ years of accounts receivable, billing, and collections experience Proficiency with QuickBooks preferred Experience in trucking, heavy truck service, trailer repair, towing, or recovery industries preferred Familiarity with service-based billing, labor and parts invoicing, and recovery/tow charges preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment What We Offer Competitive compensation and benefits Stable, well-established company Team-oriented work environment Opportunity to grow within the organization
