full-time Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for your next opportunity with a stable and growing organization? We're currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys taking ownership of the AP process from start to finish. What You'll Do Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice entry, coding, matching, and payment processing Review invoices for accuracy and ensure proper approvals are obtained Process a high volume of invoices while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries Assist with monthly closing activities and AP reconciliations Maintain accurate vendor records and payment documentation Assist with 1099 preparation and other year-end AP responsibilities Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency What We're Looking For 2+ years of accounts payable experience Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting principles High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Experience working with an accounting or ERP system Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the accounting team
