Accounts Payable Specialist

We?re currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Odenton, Maryland. What You?ll Do

• Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice entry, coding, matching, and payment processing
• Review invoices for accuracy and ensure proper approvals are obtained
• Process a high volume of invoices while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries
• Assist with monthly closing activities and AP reconciliations
• Maintain accurate vendor records and payment documentation
• Assist with 1099 preparation and other year-end AP responsibilities
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency
  What We?re Looking For
  
• 2+ years of accounts payable experience
  
• Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting principles
  
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
  
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  
• Experience working with an accounting or ERP system
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with the accounting team
