Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will support the accounting department by performing essential bookkeeping, data entry, and financial recordkeeping tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their accounting skills within a fast-paced environment. You will gain hands-on experience working with various financial software and accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information. Your proactive approach and strong numeracy skills will contribute significantly to maintaining the integrity of our financial records and supporting overall organizational success. Responsibilities Enter and maintain accurate data in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Workday, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment posting, and account reconciliations Support general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis Help prepare financial reports and statements in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards Manage confidential information with discretion while handling financial data entry and documentation Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliation and ledger review Support audit preparations by organizing relevant documents and ensuring compliance Experience Prior experience or internship in accounting or finance is preferred but not required; a strong interest in developing a career in accounting is essential Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis Basic understanding of tax procedures and governmental regulations related to accounting practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet management Strong numeracy skills coupled with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and account reconciliation Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining confidentiality Join us to kick-start your career in accounting! Pay:
$18.00 - $27.00 per hour
