In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support the organization's financial health and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including data entry of journal entries, debits & credits, and account analysis using various accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data. Process payroll and handle payroll-related transactions with precision while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections. Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant accounting standards. Conduct account reconciliation tasks regularly to verify the integrity of financial data across multiple accounts. Assist with budgeting processes and provide support during audits or financial reviews, including governmental or non-profit accounting requirements. Skills Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial management tools. Strong understanding of corporate accounting, governmental accounting, non-profit accounting, and public accounting practices. Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), including advanced functions like account analysis and 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry. Knowledge of GAAP standards, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliation techniques, and general ledger accounting. Ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently while adhering to accounting standards. Familiarity with payroll processing systems and tax experience related to payroll taxes and reporting requirements. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in account analysis and financial report writing. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and support overall financial operations.
