The team specializes in areas such as background checks, surveillance, and fraud detection, with a strong emphasis on integrity and professionalism. Blue Chameleon Investigations & Consulting is committed to open communication, keeping clients informed throughout each case and delivering discreet, reliable, and results-driven solutions. Role Description This is a part-time Bookkeeper role in a onsite office with time flexibility. The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day financial records, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank and credit card statements. Responsibilities include processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing and issuing invoices, tracking expenses, and monitoring cash flow. The role will also support payroll preparation, assist with budgeting and financial reporting, and help organize documentation for tax preparation and compliance. The Bookkeeper will collaborate with leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and confidential financial information that supports the agency's investigative and consulting operations. Qualifications Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation. Proficiency with accounting or bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar), along with solid Excel and basic computer skills. Ability to produce accurate financial reports, assist with budgeting, track expenses, and support tax and compliance documentation. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. High level of integrity, discretion, and comfort working with confidential financial and investigative information. Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with agency leadership and external partners. Experience in a small business, professional services, or legal/investigative environment is a plus. Associate degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
