Position Summary We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. This position will primarily manage Accounts Payable responsibilities while receiving cross-training in Accounts Receivable, creating opportunities for professional growth and expanded responsibilities within our organization. ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain organized vendor records and files Communicate professionally with vendors regarding invoices and payments Assist with month-end closing activities Cross-Training in Accounts Receivable Assist with customer invoicing Apply customer payments accurately Maintain customer account records Monitor outstanding receivables Support collection efforts professionally when needed Provide backup support to the accounting team Qualifications 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience preferred Accounts Receivable experience is a plus but not required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) preferred Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality Positive attitude and willingness to learn Why Join South Jersey Elevator?
