This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with our client. The successful candidate will be employed directly by the hiring company. TWC Synergy is managing the recruitment process and initial candidate screening on the client's behalf. About the Company Our client is a well-established construction company with a reputation for quality workmanship, financial stability, and long-term employee retention. They are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their accounting team and play an important role in supporting the company's continued growth and success. Job Overview Join a growing construction company as an Accounts Payable Clerk and become an essential member of our accounting team. In this role, you will help ensure the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, maintain organized financial records, and support the company's day-to-day accounting operations. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with management, vendors, and field personnel while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment that values professionalism, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Process and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently. Match field tickets with vendor invoices and supporting documentation. Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices for completeness, accuracy, and proper approval. Prepare checks for owner signature and assist with payment processing. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation. Communicate professionally with vendors regarding invoices, payment status, and account questions. Assist with month-end closing activities and accounts payable reporting. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls. Answer incoming phone calls, respond to emails, and provide general administrative support. Deliver bank deposits and FedEx packages as needed. Support office staff and management with additional administrative duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. One to three years of accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting experience preferred. Working knowledge of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles. Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with vendors and coworkers. Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while contributing as part of a team. Construction, field service, transportation, or similar industry experience is preferred. Familiarity with invoice coding, vendor management, and maintaining audit-ready documentation is a plus.
