Accounts Receivable Specialist Fenton Mobility Products, Inc. | Randolph, NY Full-Time |
On-SiteSalary Range:
$20 - $25 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications Fenton Mobility is growing quickly, and we are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist who wants to grow with us. This is more than an invoice-processing and collections position. We need someone who will take ownership of the AR function, build strong relationships with our customers and internal teams, and help create the financial discipline and visibility needed to support a growing manufacturing organization. What You'll Own You will be responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, and organization of Fenton's accounts receivable process, including:
- Processing customer invoices, credits, payments, and cash applications accurately and timely.
- Monitoring customer accounts and aging balances, identifying past-due accounts, and actively following up to ensure timely payment.
- Reconciling customer accounts and investigating billing, pricing, rebate, payment, and other discrepancies through resolution.
- Communicating directly with customers to resolve account issues, answer questions, and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Working closely with sales, production, operations, and finance to resolve issues that impact invoicing and customer payment.
- Working closely with the production team to ensure all commodities and associated costs are properly cleared at the time of consumption rather than being left to the end of the production process.
- Providing clear visibility into customer balances, expected payments, and aged receivables to support cash-flow planning and management decisions.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and eliminate recurring issues.
- Maintaining clear work instructions and documentation so processes are consistent and scalable. We're looking for someone who:
- Prioritizes continuous learning through active listening and thoughtful questioning.
- Take full ownership of outcomes, including the setbacks, and use them to drive future success.
- Takes initiative, looks for ways to improve, and is motivated to take on additional responsibility.
- Uses sound judgment, communicates effectively, and understands how individual work affects the broader organization.
- Doesn't shy away from candid conversations. The candidate is comfortable challenging the status quo—whether that means holding external vendors accountable or refining inefficient internal workflows—always prioritizing respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Has prior accounts receivable/accounting experience, experience working within an ERP system, and strong Excel skills.
- Possesses strong technical intuition and a knack for analytical problem-solving, ie - comfortable diving into data, building robust spreadsheets, and investigating issues independently—finding answers and driving solutions without needing a roadmap.
. Your Impact at Fenton Your work will directly support Fenton's cash flow, customer relationships, and ability to grow. You will help ensure we collect what we have earned, provide leadership with accurate visibility into outstanding receivables, resolve issues before they become larger problems, and build scalable accounting processes as we continue to grow. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to become a trusted member of the Finance team and expand their accounting responsibilities over time.
