As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-forward Client Tax & Accounting Specialist to join our team. This dual-role position combines tax preparation and planning support with the firm's day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes, working closely with our team to deliver an exceptional experience to our clients. Position Summary WellFull is seeking a motivated accounting and tax professional who is proficient with accounting and tax software, comfortable using AI-powered tools to work smarter and faster, and energized by direct client interaction. You will work hand-in-hand with our CPA on tax return preparation and tax planning for clients, and support our CFO with bookkeeping and accounting processes for the firm. Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation & Consulting (with our CPA) Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, and trust tax returns using tax software, specifically Intuit ProConnect. Gather and analyze financial information and tax documents from clients to ensure accuracy and compliance. Communicate directly with clients to collect necessary information, answer questions, and provide tax planning advice in a warm, friendly, and professional manner. Assist with tax projections and estimated tax payments. Respond to and resolve inquiries and notices from the IRS and state tax authorities. Maintain and update client records and financial data within the firm's systems. Collaborate with the firm's CPA, financial advisors, and other team members to provide integrated wealth management solutions for clients. Stay current on federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, and use AI tools to help research and summarize changes efficiently. Bookkeeping & Accounting (with our CFO) Manage the full cycle of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including processing vendor invoices and client billing. Manage the firm's use of QuickBooks, including transaction entry and reconciliation. Handle payments and other transactions through Bill.com. Manage firm credit card accounts, including receipt scanning, expense categorization, and reconciliation. Perform bank reconciliations for all company cash and deposit accounts, and prepare/process check deposits. Run and generate financial reports as requested by the CFO and firm leadership. Assist in maintaining organized financial documentation for compliance and audits. Identify opportunities to streamline bookkeeping processes using technology and automation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in bookkeeping, tax preparation, or accounting — experience within a financial services or wealth management environment is a plus. Proficiency with accounting and tax software, specifically QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Intuit ProConnect. Genuine comfort and enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools to improve the speed, accuracy, and quality of tax and bookkeeping work. Tech-forward mindset — adapts quickly to new software and systems and looks for ways to use technology and automation to streamline repetitive tasks. Strong understanding of fundamental bookkeeping and accounting principles. Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial record-keeping. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a warm, friendly, professional demeanor — our clients should enjoy working with you. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification ideal, or actively pursuing one of these designations.
