Job Description

We are seeking to fill a key role in our Accounting department. This position reports directly to our Controller and works closely with the CFO.
Examples of Work Performed:
The AR/AP will be responsible for ensuring the company complies with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards Aides in the operations of the accounting department Responsible for oversight of cash management For oversight of reporting and payment of all tax liabilities Ensure accounts payable are paid according to agency policies and procedures Ensure accounts receivable are collected according to agency policies and procedures Coordinate with the Controller/CFO in the review, compilation and issuance of timely and complete financial statements to company leadership and/or board, as appropriate Coordinate in providing documentation for the preparation of annual financial and pension audits Coordinate with the Controller/CFO in the calculation and issuance of financial and operating metrics Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management Provide financial analyses as needed Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements All other duties as assigned by management
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation Ability to multi-task and establish priorities Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership Possess working knowledge of regulatory bodies relating to payroll, taxes and other regulatory guidance Proficient in MS Office software - Word, Excel Knowledge of accounting and financial accounting system Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies or members of the organization and general community at large. Ability to prepare reports, write business correspondence and assist in the development and update of procedural manuals
