Family-owned since 1980 and not private-equity owned, Wahl Family Heating, Cooling & Plumbing is growing and hiring an Accounting Specialist / Bookkeeper for our Oakdale office. We need someone who is dependable, highly accurate, comfortable owning recurring deadlines, and able to keep financial records organized as the company expands. Current draft responsibilities Process accounts payable, invoices, and vendor records accurately and on time Complete account and credit-card reconciliations Support month-end close and routine financial reporting Research discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution Maintain organized documentation and communicate clearly with department leaders and vendors Support the Controller with day-to-day accounting work and special projects What you must bring At least 3 years of bookkeeping, accounting-assistant, or accounting-specialist experience Strong attention to detail and the judgment required to handle confidential information Working knowledge of reconciliations, invoice processing, and general accounting controls Comfort using accounting software and Excel; QuickBooks experience is a plus A demonstrated ability to manage recurring deadlines independently, investigate discrepancies, and ask good questions when something does not look right Compensation and benefits $23 to $30 per hour, based on the final scope and directly relevant experience Excellent health, dental, and vision insurance, plus HSA 401(k) with 3% company match On-site fitness facility Paid time off and holidays Paid training, tuition reimbursement, employee referral program, and bereavement leave Schedule Full-time and in-office.
