Position Summary Tricounty Upfitters is seeking an organized and detail-oriented NetSuite Accounting Support Specialist to maintain accurate financial and operational records within NetSuite and assist with small human resources tasks. This position will review transactions, maintain supporting documentation, assist with accounting reports, research discrepancies, provide general support to management and the accounting team, and perform limited HR-related administrative duties. This role will not be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, or recording deposits. Previous hands-on experience using NetSuite is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Enter, review, and maintain accounting and operational information in NetSuite. Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification. Verify that required documentation is attached to NetSuite transactions. Research and help correct inaccurate, incomplete, or duplicate transactions. Review sales orders, purchase orders, item receipts, invoices, credits, and related records for consistency. Assist with maintaining accurate customer, vendor, item, and financial records. Prepare routine reports and provide financial information to management. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures as directed. Review general-ledger activity and report unusual or incorrectly classified transactions. Assist with job-costing and project-related financial reporting. Help maintain sales-tax documentation and customer exemption certificates. Organize and retain financial records and supporting documentation. Assist with internal reviews, external audits, and requests from the company's CPA. Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, sales, project management, and other departments to resolve transaction discrepancies. Develop and follow consistent procedures for entering and maintaining information in NetSuite. Assist with small HR-related administrative tasks, such as maintaining employee records, organizing personnel documentation, coordinating onboarding paperwork, tracking employee information, and supporting routine HR communications. Protect confidential company, customer, vendor, employee, and personnel information. Perform other accounting-support, HR-support, and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated hands-on experience using NetSuite is required. Previous bookkeeping, accounting support, or financial data-entry experience. Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial records. Ability to navigate, research, and correct transactions within NetSuite. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and spreadsheets. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and handle confidential financial and employee information appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, human resources, or a related field. Three or more years of accounting-support or bookkeeping experience. Experience with NetSuite reports, saved searches, transaction records, and supporting documentation. Experience with Power BI, including creating, maintaining, or interpreting dashboards and reports. Experience with job-costing or project-based accounting. Experience in the automotive, manufacturing, distribution, construction, or vehicle-upfitting industry. Familiarity with inventory-related transactions and accounting records. Experience assisting with month-end closing and audit preparation. Previous experience providing administrative HR support.

Schedule and Compensation:
Full-time position Monday through Friday Compensation based on experience and demonstrated NetSuite proficiency
Pay:
$25.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
