Key Responsibilities General Ledger & Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate financial records, prepare and post journal entries, perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and verify general ledger integrity.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Process incoming invoices, handle client billing, issue statements, and manage collection tracking.
Payroll Processing:
Process routine payroll calculations, track payroll transactions, and assist with quarterly/annual payroll reports.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare preliminary financial statements, trial balances, and customized internal reports for manager review.
Tax & Year-End Support:
Organize and assemble supporting documentation for year-end tax return preparation and client filings.
Client & Software Management:
Work comfortably with cloud-based accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online) and digital document platforms to handle client source documents.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1+ years of proven bookkeeping or general accounting experience (experience in a public accounting firm or client-facing accounting role is a strong plus).
Software Proficiency:
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and standard office productivity suites (Microsoft Excel/Word).
Accounting Fundamentals:
Solid grasp of debits/credits, GAAP rules, double-entry accounting, and balance sheet mechanics.
Technical & Data Entry Skills:
High proficiency in 10-key typing, digital document scanning, and general data entry accuracy.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage task deadlines independently.
