In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Your expertise in various accounting software and systems will drive efficient financial operations, support strategic decision-making, and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organization by maintaining precise financial records and supporting overall business health. Duties Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries Maintain and reconcile the general ledger using accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and applicable governmental accounting standards Oversee payroll processing using systems like ADP, UltiPro, Ceridian, or Kronos while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and labor laws Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data Handle confidential information with integrity and ensure data entry accuracy through meticulous attention to detail and 10-key typing skills Assist with internal audits and ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls where applicable Support budgeting processes by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review Utilize Excel data analysis techniques to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for improvement in financial operations Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation promptly Qualifications Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong background in corporate and governmental accounting practices Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms; experience with Workday is a plus Familiarity with financial software including Paychex, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian for payroll management; experience with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel is essential Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant governmental accounting standards Experience handling complex account reconciliation processes and balance sheet management Knowledge of technical accounting concepts including journal entries, debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis Ability to manage confidential information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and record keeping Excellent numeracy skills combined with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and support customer service needs related to financial inquiries Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new accounting systems such as Xero or PeopleSoft; familiarity with SOX compliance requirements is advantageous Join our team if you're passionate about precision in financial management!
