Job Description
Entry-Level Bookkeeper Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and adaptive Entry-Level Bookkeeper to join our commercial property development and management team. Operating within a small business environment, this role manages daily financial data entry, and critical accounting tasks to keep workflows running smoothly. The Bookkeeper will maintain clean financial records, record daily transactions, and reconcile statements under the guidance of our senior leadership, while directly supporting the unique needs of our commercial real estate portfolio. Key Responsibilities
Data Entry:
Record daily expenses, vendor bills, client invoices, and tenant rent receipts into QuickBooks Online.
Transaction Categorization:
Assign income, development expenses, and property management fees to correct accounts using our established Chart of Accounts (COA).
Bank Reconciliation:
Match monthly bank and credit card statements against internal ledger transactions to catch errors promptly.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Upload and organize vendor bills (including construction, maintenance, and utility invoices), track payment due dates, and flag discrepancies.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate tenant invoices, log rent payments, and actively track overdue commercial accounts.
Document Management:
Maintain clean, structured physical and digital filing systems through meticulous organization of vendor agreements, invoice copies, and financial records to ensure instant ability to retrieve.
Reporting Support:
Help prepare basic financial reports like Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheets, and property-specific cash flow updates.
Dynamic Operational Support:
As a critical member of an agile commercial property development team, you will be required to execute any additional duties, tasks, or special projects requested by management to meet evolving business needs. Required Qualifications
Software Experience:
Fundamental hands-on familiarity navigationally within QuickBooks Online.
Technical Skills:
Proficient with spreadsheets like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for property tracking data.
Core Principles:
Basic understanding of standard bookkeeping terms, such as debits, credits, assets, liabilities, and depreciation.
- Attention to
Detail:
Exceptional accuracy when managing high-volume numeric and financial entries.
Education:
An Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is highly preferred.
Experience:
6 months to 1 year of professional data entry, administrative, or accounting office internship experience.

Pay:
$25.86 - $31.15 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
