What You Do and How You Do It:
A Senior Account Clerk is a customer service orientated member of the Administrative Team in the Accounting Department that has a wide range of responsibilities.
This includes:
Serve as primary receptionist for the Accounting Department greeting and all walk-in customers providing front line assistance. Answer and direct incoming calls. Match accounts payable checks to applicable invoices for distribution including contacting departments to pick up checks as needed. Reconcile and scan returned checks received in the mail. Process and distribute all incoming mail from internal and external customers. Record cash and checks received and prepares daily deposits. Serve as primary safe custodian Perform a variety of clerical and bookkeeping tasks associated with providing support for the department. Maintain schedules for conference rooms A and B. Submit work order requests necessary for maintaining a safe working environment. Perform other work as required.
Here's What You Need:
High school diploma or GED; one year of experience in clerical accounting or basic financial record keeping; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and demonstrate strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, excellent customer service, and strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities are required, along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of a complex organization. Experience in public-sector or accounting, as well as experience with Workday ERP and Microsoft SharePoint, is a plus.
