JOB SUMMARY
Under supervision of the Accounting Supervisor, performs general accounting duties including: cash application, sending invoices, soft collections, reconciling banking transactions, processing accounts payable invoices, filing and other duties as needed to support the Accounting Department. The person filling this position will perform a variety of AR and AP duties with the opportunity to learn more over time. This position requires working closely with customers, vendors and other departments so the right candidate will be committed to providing excellent customer service.
Essential Functions:
Process cash receipts for various types of customer payments including ACH, Wire, Check.
Engage customers in resolution of aged balances via email and phone as needed
Sending invoices to customers daily, via USPS and electronically
Assist in monitoring AR mailbox and responding to customer requests
Process incoming inventory related invoices accurately and timely (3 way match)
Route miscellaneous invoices to the proper manager for approval according to signature authority matrix
Respond timely to all vendor correspondence - including reconciling statements monthly
Filing and record maintenance, both electronically and hard copy if needed
Performs other duties as required to support the
Accounting Department Requirements Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Strong organization skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
Desire to learn new tasks and continuously improve processes
Education/Experience:
High school graduate or GED equivalent
