Job Description

Voorhees, New Jersey Job Status:
Full Time Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Responsible for the supervision, management, and/or participation in all fiscal and financial matters of the agency.
Duties include:
Fiscal management of contracts held by the agency. Assure that all expenditures made meet the parameters of approved budget or budget revision Consistent review of all active contracts to see if budgets are satisfactory to current spending. Submit a budget revision, with justification, on a quarterly basis Act as agency liaison with funders and programmatic teams Prepare and maintain necessary supporting documentation for Reports of Expenditure and Auditors Preparation of budgets, budget modifications, Reports of Expenditures, and journal entries Supervise Budget Analyst(s) and review all budgets, budget modifications, Reports of Expenditures and journal entries prepared by Analyst(s) on team. Monitoring and analysis to ensure revenue and fees are collected in a timely manner Review of current accounting system and monitor for upgrades as necessary Upkeep of general ledger, including all journal entries Management and supervision of the tracking and payment of accounts payable Participate in weekly supervision meetings with CFO Participate in monthly budget review meetings with programmatic team Participate in grant writing projects, assuming leadership role when necessary Participate in establishing and reviewing policies within the agency and designing systems as necessary
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting 3-5 years of experience working with budgets and Reports of Expenditures Experience supervising personnel Experience with Microsoft Office software. Intermediate to advanced Excel, including work with large data sets Demonstrated experience handling sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion Excellent writing and other communication skills, ability to convey complex and potentially confusing information in a straightforward and professional manner Knowledge of Blackbaud Accounting software a plus

Salary:
$80,000 per year
