Summary of Position The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for leading the organization's overall financial strategy, financial operations, risk management, capital planning, and long-term business performance. This position partners closely with the CEO, shareholders, advisory board members, and senior leadership to provide strategic financial guidance, strengthen enterprise decision-making, and ensure the organization has the financial structure, reporting, systems, and controls necessary to support growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability. The CFO oversees accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, audit, compliance, banking relationships, investment oversight, family office coordination, and mergers and acquisitions activity. This role is expected to operate as both a strategic business advisor and hands-on financial leader, translating financial data into actionable insights that support operational excellence, responsible growth, and sound stewardship of company and shareholder assets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Executive Leadership & Strategic Financial Guidance
Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO, shareholders, advisory board members, and executive leadership team on business performance, growth opportunities, capital allocation, risk, and long-term enterprise value creation
Lead financial strategy development and execution, ensuring alignment between company goals, operating plans, investment priorities, and measurable financial outcomes
Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive leadership team regarding financial performance, business planning, growth initiatives, and organizational priorities
Advising on long-term business and financial planning, including quarterly rolling forecasts, scenario planning, key performance indicators, job cost reporting, and special projects analysis.
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting organization that supports accountability, continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and scalable growth
Establish and develop effective relationships with senior management, external partners, lenders, advisors, and key stakeholders Financial Operations, Reporting & Controls
Oversee the finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and accounting firm coordination.
Provide timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements, weekly cash balances, KPIs, job cost reports, and other financial reporting to the CEO and senior leadership.
Manage cash flow across company accounts and maintain effective banking, lending, treasury, debt, and liquidity relationships
Design, implement, and monitor systems of financial controls to safeguard company assets, strengthen compliance, and support accurate financial reporting
Oversee enterprise risk management from a financial perspective, including liquidity, debt structure, insurance, compliance exposure, internal controls, banking covenants, investment risk, and overall financial governance
Lead financial systems, reporting, analytics, and business intelligence improvements to provide timely, accurate, and actionable information for operational and executive decision-making Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Investments
Provide financial leadership for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investment opportunities, including financial modeling, valuation support, due diligence, deal structuring, integration planning, and post-close performance tracking
Support transaction evaluation through financial modeling, valuation analysis, due to diligence, deal structuring, and risk assessment
Partner with executive leadership, legal counsel, tax advisors, lenders, and external consultants throughout the transaction process.
Lead or support integration planning, post-close financial reporting, synergy tracking, performance measurement, and financial process alignment following acquisitions
Assess potential strategic investments and business opportunities for financial return, operational impact, capital requirements, risk, and alignment with long-term company objectives Family Office, Stakeholders & Private Investment Support
Partner with executive leadership, shareholders, and external advisors on family office matters, including investment oversight, entity collaboration, shareholder reporting, and governance-related financial administration
Support wealth preservation, tax planning coordination, estate planning coordination, private investment tracking, and long-term stewardship of company and shareholder assets.
Coordinate financial information and reporting across related entities, investment holdings, trusts, ownership structures, and other shareholder-related matters as appropriate
Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and sound judgment when handling sensitive shareholder, family office, investment, estate, and financial information Cross-Functional Leadership & Organizational Support
Attend weekly management meetings and provide financial insight, reporting, and recommendations to support operational decisions.
Coordinate work-in-progress reporting and job cost information with project managers and operational leaders.
Review and support compliance-related procedures in partnership with the appropriate functional leaders.
Analyze technology needs and support improvements to accounting, financial reporting, information systems, and business processes.
Oversee tax, audit, and other compliance-related reviews as they relate to financial controls, reporting, and risk management.
Represent the finance function in strategic partnerships, special projects, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional leadership discussions. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
MBA and/or CPA/CMA designation strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience, including experience in a senior financial leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage finance and accounting teams in a collaborative, accountable environment.
Experience developing and implementing financial strategies, accounting processes, reporting systems, internal controls, and scalable business practices.
Demonstrated executive leadership experience with the ability to influence across functions, advise senior leadership, and translate financial information into strategic business decisions.
Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence, valuation analysis, transaction support, integration planning, or post-acquisition financial reporting preferred.
Experience supporting family office operations, shareholder reporting, private investments, entity structures, tax planning coordination, or wealth stewardship preferred.
