CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Location:
Center, Texas | Full-Time | Exempt Position Tri-County Community Action, Inc. is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic leadership, financial oversight, and fiscal accountability for the agency. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the CFO serves as a key financial advisor and is responsible for ensuring sound fiscal management and compliance across the organization. Responsibilities include oversight of accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, property control, procurement, internal controls, grant-related fiscal compliance, and financial analysis. The CFO will ensure compliance with applicable federal and state funding requirements, agency policies, and grant regulations; prepare and review required financial and budgetary reports; and support the Executive Director in financial planning and decision-making. The CFO also supervises assigned accounting personnel and/or coordinates and oversees outsourced fiscal functions to ensure accuracy, accountability, compliance, and continuity of financial operations.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Fiscal Management, or a related field is required. A minimum of three years of progressively responsible fiscal, accounting, or administrative experience is preferred. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, grant management, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis, along with demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience with nonprofit or grant-funded organizations, federal and state grant compliance, and MIP accounting software is highly preferred.
