CPA licensure is required in order to be considered for this role. About the
Program:
Sunrise Services is a human services agency that focuses on providing for the unmet needs of vulnerable individuals in our community. We provide caregiving services, mental health resources, vocational services, and much more! Our work is dedicated to serving those who are elderly, disabled, or have mental health challenges. The Chief Financial Officer will oversee management of the business office and accounting staff.
General Responsibilities:
Provides financial guidance to the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and the senior leadership team in the development, implementation and accomplishment of the financial operations and goals of the company.
Essential Functions:
(Tasks, Responsibilities, and Competencies. May not include all duties of this job) Serves as the key financial advisor to the senior leadership team on strategic and operational planning, new business opportunities, and protecting and enhancing the company's financial performance. Works in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the financial and operational success of the company. Works with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies for cost containment, cost effectiveness, and operational efficiency. Provides oversight to the analysis of the financial implications of the organization's strategic plans, proposed capital expenditures and impact of new payment models, changing economic environment and/or regulatory changes. Plans, formulates and recommends policies and procedures for the business administration of the company. Researches and locates grant funding for the company, coordinates and completes applications in collaboration with other members of the senior leadership team. Acts as Plan Administrator of the 401k plan. Plans and coordinates annual independent financial audit as well as other audits performed by funders. Provides oversight of the Finance function including financial planning, reporting, forecasting and analysis and budgeting. Ensures that financial reports are accurate, timely and actionable. Participates in organizational risk management oversight. Responsible for the prevention and management of risk associated with the finances of the organization. Supervises, mentors, develops, and motivates key personnel within the finance function, ensuring that the finance functions are organized effectively and staffed to provide maximum benefit to the organization. Fosters a positive and productive work environment. Builds positive working relationships with all staff. Attends necessary education sessions to keep abreast of industry and accounting trends.
Essential Requirements:
(Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting-related field, Master preferred.
Experience:
At least 10 years of experience in business and fiscal management. Supervisory experience.
Licensure/Certification:
Certified Public Accountant required
Other Considerations:
Excellent communication (oral and written), listening, facilitation, negotiation, and mediation skills required; strong leadership, teaching and organization skills essential; attention to detail, creativity, flexibility, dependability, professional appearance and demeanor; a positive attitude is essential. Knowledge of and ability to utilize Sage ERP, UKG and QuickBooks software, and Microsoft software products (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to learn payroll, accounting and other software as needed. Organization, time-management, prioritization, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation:
$125,257.60 - $210,246.40/year Wages are determined by applicable industry experience, education, and certifications/licensure.
