Job Description

Insurance Coordinator Harrison, AR | Full-Time Bartlett Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Insurance Coordinator to join our front office team. This is a high-accountability role that sits at the intersection of patient care and financial accuracy. You will be responsible for verifying benefits, processing claims, posting payments, managing overdue accounts, and ensuring our insurance operations run with precision. If you have a strong grasp of dental insurance processes and take pride in doing things right, we want to hear from you. Position Overview The Insurance Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of the insurance billing and claims process for the practice. You will work closely with patients to explain their benefits and financial responsibilities, coordinate with insurance companies to verify coverage and resolve disputes, and maintain accurate records across all insurance-related activity. This role requires someone who is highly organized, analytically minded, and comfortable working with numbers, reports, and complex insurance information on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities Verify patient dental insurance benefits prior to appointments Explain insurance benefits and coverage details to patients clearly and professionally Enter and update patient insurance information using practice management software Submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner Post patient and insurance payments to the correct accounts Follow up on unpaid, pending, and denied insurance claims Process insurance payments and refunds accurately Manage overdue accounts and maintain consistent collection efforts Upload completed insurance verification forms to patient electronic files Generate, monitor, and review weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports Communicate with insurance companies to resolve disputes and discrepancies Maintain accurate documentation and compliance across all insurance activity Technology & Workflow We operate in a fully digital, high-efficiency environment. You must be comfortable working in: Dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar) Insurance eligibility and claims portals Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Electronic patient records and digital filing systems Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly are essential.
