Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented 1099 Field Property Claims Adjuster to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling property insurance claims directly at the site of the loss or damage. Your expertise will help ensure fair and accurate claims processing while providing exceptional customer service to policyholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your analytical skills and insurance knowledge make a real difference. You will play a key role in preventing fraud, managing liability claims, and ensuring compliance with insurance regulations. Duties Conduct thorough on-site inspections of damaged or lost property to assess the extent of loss or damage. Utilize estimating software such as Xactimate to develop accurate repair or replacement estimates. Investigate claims by gathering evidence, interviewing claimants, witnesses, and third parties to determine liability. Negotiate settlements with policyholders, contractors, and other stakeholders to reach fair resolutions efficiently. Apply knowledge of insurance law, workers' compensation law, and regulatory compliance to ensure claims are processed correctly. Detect potential fraud through analysis skills and adherence to fraud prevention protocols. Document findings meticulously in claims management systems and prepare detailed reports for adjudication. Experience Proven experience in property insurance claims processing, casualty insurance, or liability insurance claims adjudication. Familiarity with insurance regulation, workers' compensation law, and regulatory compliance in claims handling. Strong skills in auto estimating and estimating software such as Xactimate for accurate damage assessment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and financial software for data analysis and reporting purposes. Excellent negotiation skills combined with outstanding customer service abilities to manage client communication effectively. Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple claims simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Prior experience with claims negotiation, analysis of insurance law, and fraud detection is highly desirable.
