http://www.rathbonegroup.com/ Recovery Specialist (Auto Insured) Rathbone Group is currently hiring for a Recovery Specialist position to join our Subrogation Team. In this role you will coordinate, investigate, and recover complex auto subrogation claims by pursuing the responsible party and assist in providing service to policyholders/customers through subrogation efforts. Our goal is to identify and employ confident, self-starting, highly motivated individuals who display high-energy, intelligence and the natural curiosity we believe is fundamental to our investigative process, the meeting of market expectations, and achieving our departmental financial objectives .

Note:

The initial training period will be in the office, and then this position will transition to a hybrid of onsite and remote work. Responsibilities Investigates and identifies responsible parties, third parties, determines liability, and uses all available resources to maximize the recovery for Insured, Property and Commercial files Coordinates additional investigation as needed by gathering all pertinent information and determining the extent of possible recovery Communicate with opposing insurers, policyholders, injured employees, witnesses, claimants, and involved parties, to gather information regarding the loss. Using internal and external resources when appropriate Make suitable referrals to legal counsel to initiate litigation or intervene when appropriate Use sound communication skills to successfully negotiate recoveries with attorneys, third parties and/or co-defendants in coordination to resolve the claim Ensure that the claim file has all documents to support subrogation recovery efforts by updating files and providing comprehensive reports as required Responsible for investigating, researching and determining best practice in the process of subrogating the clients' rights of recovery against any other party who may be responsible for a loss Verify liability and negligence scenarios for the jurisdiction in question Coordinates additional investigation as needed by gathering all pertinent information and determining the extent of possible recovery Evaluate additional liability investigation as determined by the needs of the file and request of management Responsible for drafting offer recommendations and/or litigation recommendations to the client Ability to identify a claimants' collectability potential on underinsured files Other tasks or projects as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required Auto or liability claims experience is strongly preferred; comprehension of personal or commercial auto claims handling and the variances of subrogation between the two policy types is a plus Knowledge of general insurance policy coverage, statutes, regulations and case law with a bearing on legal liability, collections and subrogation processing is a plus Strong analytical abilities to review, exercise judgement and evaluate subrogation and recover claims to make sound decisions Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills and proficient user of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel) Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently with self-initiative Exceptional negotiation skills Benefits Flexible, hybrid work schedules Generous paid time off and paid company holidays Casual work environment 401K Plan with Company Match Monthly Medical Insurance Allowance Dental and Vision Benefits Flexible Spending Accounts Group Term Life Insurance Short-term & Long-term Disability Benefits Rathbone Group, LLC. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
