Role:
Support VulcanForms? import and export compliance program across the Americas and global supply network. Partner with procurement, supply chain, finance, legal, systems, and operations teams to manage daily trade activities, reduce regulatory risk, and enable efficient cross-border manufacturing and sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage import and export compliance activities across the Americas and global supplier network
- Develop, implement, and maintain product export and import classifications
- Manage HS/HTS classification and country-of-origin determination processes
- Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, customs requirements, trade regulations, Free Trade Agreements, and Partner Government Agency programs
- Perform denied-party screening and identify duty-drawback opportunities
- Support procurement and sourcing teams by assessing duties, tariffs, cross-border costs, and trade risks
- Lead and support internal and external trade compliance audits
- Identify compliance gaps and drive corrective actions
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for trade-related questions and issue resolution
- Develop and deliver trade compliance training, procedures, and standard operating procedures
- Drive continuous improvement in trade processes, systems, and data accuracy
- Partner with systems and IT teams on trade-related implementations, enhancements, and data governance
- Support export licensing, regulatory filings, and related compliance documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s degree in Supply Chain, Business, International Trade, or a related field
- Five-plus years of experience in trade compliance, import/export operations, or global supply chain
- Demonstrated experience managing or implementing HS classification programs
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR
- Knowledge of trade audits, customs regulations, and international trade requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate large data sets
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create clear reports, procedures, training materials, and compliance documentation
Preferred:
- Experience with Free Trade Agreements, duty drawback, and tariff-mitigation strategies
- Familiarity with ERP systems and trade-compliance tools, such as SAP GTS, Amber Road, or Integration Point
- Experience supporting manufacturing, hardware, or highly regulated industrial environments
- Prior involvement in systems implementation or process-standardization initiatives
- Experience managing export licenses and regulatory filings
- Experience with SQL or similar data-query tools
Compensation:
- \$86,900
- \$119,500 annually
- Actual compensation based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
