Summary:
The Compliance Analyst works to ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations specific to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC). The Compliance Analyst will work closely with Pardee BlueMD operational leadership to ensure ongoing compliance with HRSA Section 330 Health Center Program Requirements and associated Medicare/Medicaid billing requirements and will coordinate its response to all monitoring. Pardee BlueMD is a Federally Qualified Health Center that functions as the primary care network within UNC Health Pardee.
Responsibilities:
  • Leads response to all compliance monitoring of Pardee BlueMD, including desk reviews and site visits.
  • Tracks Pardee BlueMD compliance with Health Center Program Requirements, reporting obligations, and grant deliverables.
  • Coordinates review and audit of Medicare/Medicaid FQHC coding and billing rules and regulations in conjunction with compliance auditors.
  • Coordinates corrective action plans for identified FQHC compliance issues and ensures accurate documentation of monitoring activities and corrective actions.
  • Tracks FQHC compliance key performance indicators.
  • Research and provide interpretation and guidance on FQHC regulations.
  • Demonstrates the following attributes: a high level of integrity and sound judgment, cultivating trust and credibility with internal teams and external partners; exceptional attention to detail; strong organization and analytical abilities; excellent communication and presentation skills across verbal, written, and digital platforms; ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively under deadline pressure.
  • Demonstrates ability to serve as a visible and trusted representative of UNC Health Pardee/PBMD when communicating the organization's compliance program and activities.
  • Functions as compliance liaison with Blue Ridge Health, the Section 330 grant recipient that subawards health center grant funds to Pardee BlueMD.
Other information:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, business, or related field, required. Master's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of healthcare compliance or regulatory experience; FQHC experience strongly preferred . Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or similar professional credential preferred. Knowledge of FQHC billing preferred. Experience working with an electronic medical record (EMR), preferably Epic.
Physical Demands:
1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment. 2. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. 3. Light to moderate lifting is required up to 10 lbs. 4. Moderate noise level typical of an office environment. 5. May be required to sit for extended periods of time. 6. Regular, predictable attendance is required as business demands dictate. 7. May include local travel to various Pardee BlueMD locations.
