Progress. As a life compliance specialist with Progressive Life, you'll support day-to-day compliance activities for our growing direct-to-consumer life insurance business. In this role, you'll monitor regulatory developments, prepare and submit product and form filings, and support compliance activities related to claims, consumer complaints, audits, examinations, and regulatory inquiries. You'll collaborate with business partners to research requirements, maintain documentation, and help ensure our products and operations meet applicable state and federal requirements as Progressive Life continues to scale. Progressive Life began within Level20, Progressive's growth incubator, where we built a term life insurance product and business from the ground up. After a successful launch and early growth, we've spun out into the Strategy group, now focused on scaling our products, capabilities, and impact. You'll be joining the organization at an exciting stage of growth as the team continues to build and expand products, capabilities, and delivery practices. This is a hybrid role based in Cleveland, Ohio. We value inclusive collaboration and work in person on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at our headquarters, 300 N Commons Blvd., Mayfield Village, OH 44143. Work-from-home days are possible for this position on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Minimum qualifications A minimum of 5 years related work experience (e.g., life insurance operations, compliance, law, or a related field), with at least 2 years in a compliance or legal role in the life insurance industry {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in compliance, law, business, or a related field of study and a minimum of 2 years related work experience (e.g., life insurance operations, compliance, law, or a related field), with at least 2 years in a compliance or legal role in the life insurance industry Preferred skills Experience in life insurance compliance, including state-level regulatory requirements and market conduct rules Experience preparing and submitting SERFF and other life insurance product or form filings Experience supporting compliance activities related to claims, consumer complaints, audits, examinations, or regulatory inquiries Knowledge of life insurance products and regulatory requirements related to direct-to-consumer and agency distribution; familiarity with privacy and data protection requirements Strong research, organization, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and compliance partners Compensation $70,000 - $90,000/year Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 24% of your eligible earnings based on company performance Benefits 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar company match up to 6% Medical, dental & vision, including free preventative care Wellness & mental health programs Health care flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, & life insurance Paid time off, including volunteer time off Paid & unpaid sick leave where applicable, as well as short & long-term disability Parental & family leave; military leave & pay Diverse, inclusive & welcoming culture with Employee Resource Groups Career development & tuition assistance Energage recognizes Progressive as a 2026 Top Workplace for: Innovation, Purposes & Values, Work-Life Flexibility, Compensation & Benefits, and Leadership.
