Job Description:
This position is responsible for analyzing credit information for new and existing commercial loan customers to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Through analyzing business and personal financial information, tax returns, and credit bureaus, this information will be used to create memos for presentation for appropriate approval authority.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Experience:
2-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Spread and make informative analysis of financial statements, to include historical analysis and financial forecasting Analyze sources of cash flow used for repayment and identify and evaluate cash flow and ratio trends Identify and evaluate business and industry risks, management and collateral support Prepare credit write-ups for presentation at Loan Committee meetings and/or Board of Directors Work closely with Loan Officers to ensure that through underwriting and evaluation of business, the credit requests are compliant with the bank's credit policies and lending regulations Assist in ongoing maintenance of all credit files, including scanning/filing of credit information appropriately in customer files Through the preparation of annual review presentation, ongoing monitoring of existing credit accounts, identifying any emerging risks of larger commitments Assist with ingoing collection of updated financials Occasionally accompany Loan Officer with customer meetings to gather information and provide recommendations on loan structure and payment plans that would be beneficial to both the customer and the bank Perform all other duties assigned - the company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, providing an environment of open and authentic communication Adhere to all standards, serving as an example toother team members, as well as to our customers Represent and promote the bank within the community through participation in bank sponsored events, philanthropic opportunities, and civic events
