Chemical Manufacturing•About the Role Our client is a global leader in water, hygiene, and infection prevention solutions, serving businesses across a wide range of industries. They are seeking an Associate Credit Representative to join their finance team and support commercial collections and account reconciliation activities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with business-to-business (B2B) collections experience who enjoys problem-solving, customer communication, and working collaboratively across departments. The successful candidate will help improve cash flow by resolving past-due balances while maintaining positive customer relationships. Job Description As an Associate Credit Representative, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts and supporting collections efforts for commercial clients. You will work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to identify and resolve billing issues, reconcile account discrepancies, and ensure timely payment of outstanding balances. Key Responsibilities Contact customers regarding past-due balances through phone and email outreach. Investigate, identify, and document invoicing and payment-related issues. Communicate account concerns and resolutions with internal business partners. Research and reconcile payment discrepancies, debit balances, credit balances, and customer account activity. Maintain accurate records of customer communications and collection activities. Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively, including challenging or escalated situations. Demonstrate initiative and accountability in resolving outstanding balances following initial training. Support statement reconciliation and account analysis using Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Qualifications Required Qualifications 2 to 5 years of commercial (B2B) collections experience. Experience researching and resolving accounting discrepancies, including debits, credits, and payment reconciliation. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic functions used for account and statement reconciliation. Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated after training. Professional customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations effectively. Ability to collaborate successfully in a team-oriented business environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP in a collections or accounts receivable environment. Experience using GetPaid collections software. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience will also be considered.
