Job Description

As Loan Services Specialist, you will be responsible for processing, maintaining, and servicing loan accounts with accuracy and efficiency. This includes ensuring proper documentation, performing quality control, handling loan payments, maintaining collateral records, and supporting loan officers and operations staff. Essential Job Functions Prepare loan documents through Hawthorn River. Input and update loan data into the bank's core system. Verify accuracy of loan documentation for completeness and compliance. Perform file maintenance for new, modified, and paid-off loans. Process loan payments, payoffs, and post-closing updates. Maintain accurate insurance, tax, and collateral records. Monitor and track lien perfection, UCC filings, and escrow accounts. Ensure loan files contain proper signatures, dates, vesting, and legal descriptions. Review post-closing loan files for compliance with internal policies and regulations. Scan and index loan documents daily for accurate recordkeeping. Prepare and review reports for exceptions, delinquencies, and portfolio monitoring. Provide administrative assistance to loan officers and operational teams. Respond to telephone and written inquiries regarding loan accounts. Research and resolve loan account issues, discrepancies, and errors. Assist with department mailings, document requests, and file management. Balance loan-related General Ledger accounts. Assist with construction loan draws and disbursement processing. Recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy. Order and Review Evaluations and Appraisals. Effectively and professionally communicate with customers and lenders Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred. Six months to one year of banking experience, preferably in loan operations or documentation. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good knowledge of loan processing, documentation, and servicing requirements. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with banking core systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers and lenders Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
