At First Citizens State Bank, we are committed to providing a first-class loan experience for every customer. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Loan Servicing Specialist to perform essential back-office tasks that support the loan process. The ideal candidate can work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize daily responsibilities, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Balance loan activity across all loan types and process payments to third-party vendors accurately and on time. Track and maintain loan-related data in Excel, including information used for year-end 1099 reporting, monthly Board loan exception reports, and monthly loan and lender productivity reports. Monitor and follow up on vehicle titles to ensure proper documentation and lien placement. Monitor and process UCC filings, extensions, and terminations through the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions. Record mortgage documents online in accordance with regulatory requirements. Process funding requests, including Freddie Mac deliveries and wire transfers. Ensure all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory standards. Perform loan account maintenance, including adjustments, corrections, and data updates in the core system. Participate in ongoing training to stay current on changing laws, regulations, and investor requirements. Prepare and balance loan booking sheets, including payments, wires, payoffs, and ticket or TMS reconciliation. Complete end-of-day scanning and balancing of loan operations transaction tickets. Answer department calls and assist customers and internal staff with loan-related questions. Support department-wide cross-training initiatives to ensure team flexibility and coverage.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required.
Prior experience in banking or loan operations is a plus but not required. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
