Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Director of Accounting to lead our accounting functions with precision, integrity, and strategic insight. We prefer that you have experience with AppFolio, property management software, but we can train if you do not. In this pivotal role, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial operations and monthly statements to owners!. Your expertise will drive the organization's financial health. Responsibilities Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements. Do financial reporting processes, including balance sheet reconciliation, income statement analysis, and cash flow management. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Manage and pay all utility and maintenance vendors weekly. Complete month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy in financial close processing and account reconciliation. Prepare tenant leases, enter new owners, properties and tenants along with appropriate charges. Skills Expertise in financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, account analysis… Proficiency with financial software AppFolio or any property management system or background of working in accounting along with some Excel skills for data analysis are a must. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills.
