Send job Job Details We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation based in North Oxfordshire who are seeking an experienced Head of Accounting to lead its accounting function and play a key role within the finance leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of statutory reporting, financial controls, audit management and compliance, while leading a small accounting team. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate monthly and year-end reporting, maintaining compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and FRS102, overseeing tax and VAT reporting, and driving continuous improvements to financial systems, processes and controls.
Key requirements:
. ACA or ACCA qualified. . Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP, IFRS and FRS102. . Proven experience using SAP. . Previous leadership experience within an accounting or finance function. . Experience managing statutory accounts, external audits, tax reporting and financial controls. . Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business and influence stakeholders. . Proactive, organised and committed to delivering high-quality financial reporting and continuous process improvement. . Must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
