Default Management Coordinator Classification:

Staff Job description : Reporting to the Campus Director, the Default Management Coordinator reduces student loan defaults by monitoring loan activity, delivering counseling, and proactively guiding past students on repayment options. The position analyzes default trends, prepares performance reports, and collaborates closely with Financial Aid to ensure FERPA-compliant record management across the department.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Candidates need prior experience in college student financial aid or student services, along with required English and Spanish bilingual proficiency. Strong interpersonal skills, goal-oriented ethical judgment, and deep knowledge of federal financial aid policies are essential for operating in a fast-paced environment.
