Our continued growth is creating an opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to establish scalable planning, forecasting, and performance-management capabilities. We currently are seeking a Senior Financial Planning Analyst who will report to the Vice President of Finance and serve as a strategic business partner to the Senior Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Marketing, and other functional leaders. This position will build the company's sales and financial forecasting process, develop decision-support models, and translate financial and operating data into clear recommendations that improve growth, gross margin, and resource allocation. Key Objectives
Design and implement an integrated sales and financial forecasting process with clear assumptions, ownership, cadence, and variance reporting.
Build and maintain a driver-based forecasting model covering revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, cash flow, and working capital.
Deliver sales and margin analysis by customer, channel, product type, and SKU to identify performance drivers, risks, and profitable growth opportunities.
Partner with Finance and functional leaders to create the 2027 annual operating plan and budget.
Establish management reporting and KPI dashboards that enable timely, data-driven decisions. Key Responsivities
Lead the annual budget, rolling forecast, and long-range planning processes, coordinating inputs and challenging assumptions across the business.
Partner with Sales to develop forecasts by customer, channel, product category, and SKU, including new distribution, promotions, pricing, velocity, and seasonality assumptions.
Partner with Marketing to evaluate spend effectiveness, customer acquisition economics, promotional performance, and investment tradeoffs.
Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior year; clearly explain volume, price, mix, cost, and timing variances.
Prepare channel and product profitability analyses incorporating net sales, discounts, trade spend, fulfillment, freight, product costs, and other relevant cost-to-serve components.
Develop scenarios and sensitivities for new customers, products, pricing actions, promotions, capital investments, and other strategic initiatives.
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for executive leadership, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
Work closely with Accounting to ensure reporting accuracy, consistent data definitions, and appropriate alignment between actual results and planning models.
Use NetSuite and related data sources to improve reporting, automate recurring analysis, and strengthen data quality and financial visibility. The ideal candidate will have
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Three to five years of progressive FP&A, commercial finance, or related analytical experience, preferably with a large or complex CPG company.
Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and management reporting.
Strong understanding of the CPG income statement, including gross-to-net sales, trade spend, product costs, channel mix, and margin drivers.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to build scalable, auditable models.
Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Strong business judgment, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
