    On-Site, Northport, New York About Us :

    The Northport Food Company is an importer and distributor of European-inspired food products and a manufacturer of snacks sold through U.S. retail channels. We are at an exciting stage of expansion, growing our retail footprint and product lines, and we are expanding our operations team to support that momentum.

    The Role :

    You will report to the senior operations lead and be the operational and financial backbone ensuring a smooth order-to-cash and procure-to-pay cycle, alongside reliable accounting flows. This is a key, high-growth-potential position with real ownership and senior support as you ramp up.

    Why This Role Matters :

    The Operations & Finance Coordinator sits at the center of how Northport moves products, processes orders, supports customers, manages inventory, and maintains clean financial workflows. For someone early in their career, this is a rare opportunity to learn the business from the inside and help build the systems behind it, not just process transactions.

    Key Responsibilities :

    The role spans three layers of work. You will be trained and supported as you grow into the full scope. Daily

    • ERP data entry across the order cycle, from supplier purchase orders through receiving, sales orders, and invoicing.
    • Customer PO scheduling and EDI document handling.
    • Accounts payable and accounts receivable: processing invoices, payments, and receipts, and following up on balances. Weekly
    • Inventory tracking, account reconciliations, and price list upkeep.
    • Demo program coordination and customer service across product lines. Growth
    • Inventory and forecast management, product setup, and support for reporting and process improvement in coordination with finance and operations.
    Who You Are :
    • 1-3 years of experience in operations, supply chain, accounting, customer service, logistics, or administrative support preferred. Recent graduates with strong Excel skills, high attention to detail, and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred (Sage is a plus), but training can be provided.
    • QuickBooks experience is a plus - if you're proficient with it, that's a real advantage for us.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable with high transaction volumes - accurate on the day-to-day work while looking for ways to improve the process over time.
    • Comfortable working independently, following SOPs, and managing multiple workflows in parallel.
    • Experience in a retail, distribution, or EDI environment is a plus (Costco experience especially welcome), but not mandatory.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
    • Strong professional English required; French language skills are a plus.
    • Curious, proactive, and eager to grow with the company.

    A positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly matter more than having experience in every aspect of the role.

    Position Details :
    • Employment type: Full-time, on-site in Northport, New York, with possible hybrid option. Employed by The Northport Food Company.
    • Reporting to: Senior operations lead, with daily collaboration across operations, finance, logistics, and customer service.
    Schedule:

    Monday-Friday, standard business hours (generally 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM), with occasional flexibility during peak periods.
