Summary:
Reviews credit data to evaluate commercial and business loan requests to recommend either approval or denial for applications. Analyzes sources of financial information, such as financial statements, credit bureau reports and cash flows to determine potential risk and profitability of the loan. Prepares a credit memo in response to new and additional credit proposals for approval. Education and/or
Experience:
Associate degree, or four years of directly related experience required.

Minimum of two years of lending experience preferred.

Minimum of one year of banking or finance experience required.

Ability to read, understand, and analyze business owners' personal tax returns, business tax returns, and financial statements.

Ability to read and review personal and business credit reports.

Knowledge of loan origination systems.

Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, FiServ DNA, and company and Business Lending systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Focus primarily on the business retail channel within the Business Lending Department by underwriting Teachers small business credit products, including Business Auto, Business Credit Card, Business Term Loans, and Business Line of Credit accounts for business members.

Analyze the creditworthiness of businesses seeking financing by collecting and reviewing relevant documentation, including tax returns, financial statements, credit reports, and company information. Present written credit memorandums that clearly support recommendations to approve or deny business loan applications.

Prepare business loan credit memorandums that summarize the business history, loan or line of credit purpose, repayment ability, financial analysis, collateral considerations, and other relevant business lending factors using business and personal tax returns, credit reports, financial statements, and available lending tools.

Maintain ongoing communication with the Business Relationship Manager regarding small business lending matters.

Assist the Business Lending team with commercial loan analysis. Use credit analysis skills, including financial ratios, income and expense trends, net worth changes, deposit balance history, and other business credit factors, to make or recommend appropriate credit decisions.

Perform physical site visits to evaluate a borrower's operations and inspect collateral conditions.

Perform processing duties when required, including booking commercial loans, updating tracking logs, conducting searches, and completing related administrative tasks.

Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. Benefits of Joining the
