Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Maintain and enter data into cost accounting module and serve as a backup for charge master entry.
JOB DUTIES
Participates in studies to improve hospital operations, reimbursement and financial effectiveness of the hospital. Assists and performs financial and cost accounting analysis of data. Prepare monthly and quarter financial statements. Extracts financial data from various accounting and information systems. Utilizes a knowledge of the hospital's financial accounting systems.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Five years' financial experience in health care industry required. Additional education may be substituted for some experience. Professional knowledge of financial analysis, and/or healthcare reimbursement at a level acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or clinical degree, certification or experience. Some familiarity with the healthcare system either through undergraduate degree or work experience. Experience in healthcare reimbursement a plus. Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word procession required. Experience with Excel, access, and monarch a plus.
