Description We are looking for an Accounting Manager to support the financial operations of our hospitality organization in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role is suited for a detail-oriented finance specialist who can oversee core accounting activities, produce reliable reporting, and help leadership make informed business decisions. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of monthly and periodic financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss summaries, to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Perform detailed reconciliations across bank accounts, the general ledger, and balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies and confirming the integrity of financial data.
• Direct daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activities so transactions are recorded properly and processed within established timelines.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning by compiling financial data, analyzing trends, and highlighting key performance insights.
• Maintain the general ledger through accurate journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities in alignment with accepted accounting practices.
• Monitor compliance with applicable financial regulations, tax filing obligations, and internal standards while helping maintain audit-ready records.
• Conduct reviews and audit support procedures to validate the completeness and accuracy of accounting documentation and financial transactions.
• Use accounting platforms and spreadsheet tools effectively, and coordinate with software providers when updates or system improvements are needed.
• Contribute to cost accounting efforts and provide broader accounting support as needed across the finance department. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management roles.
• Strong command of general ledger accounting, month-end close, account reconciliation, journal entries, and accrual-based accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Experience working with accounting software and advanced spreadsheet tools, including Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of financial compliance, reporting requirements, and audit support practices.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with close attention to detail.
• Background in restaurant or hospitality accounting is preferred.
