Finance Lead

Are you an experienced accounting professional with a passion for driving operational excellence and supporting mission-driven organizations? Randstad USA is seeking a skilled Fully Remote Senior Accounting Specialist to join a premier bookkeeping, human resources, and financial management consulting firm. In this versatile role, you will oversee end-to-end client financial operations, lead dedicated bookkeeping staff, and manage payroll and compliance for a diverse portfolio of nonprofit clients.     Financial Operations & Reporting:

    Oversee transaction classification, general ledger maintenance, and monthly financial statement preparation. Audit payroll, cash receipts, and AP/AR to ensure total accuracy and reconcile financial statements.

      Team Oversight:

      Lead day-to-day work for the bookkeeping team (including offshore staff). Conduct regular check-ins, monitor reconciliations and 1099 prep, and provide coding and process guidance.

        Payroll & Benefits:

        Process client payrolls (bi-weekly/semi-monthly) using platforms like Gusto, ADP, or Paychex. Validate timesheets, manage 403(b)/IRA contributions, and support annual Form 5500 filings.

          Client Service & Coordination:

          Serve as primary client contact, conduct regular check-ins, ensure complete audit-ready documentation, and escalate complex risks to the Controller or CFO.Cross collaborate with internal team to seamlessly support client needs.

            Cross-Functional Support:

            Assist with ad hoc projects, process improvements, and provide coverage for Finance Manager duties as needed. Qualifications ? Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred ? Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience ? Nonprofit accounting experience required ? Experience with QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct ? Experience with Gusto, ADP, or Paychex preferred ? Experience managing multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously Core Competencies ? Strong attention to detail and organization ? Solid understanding of accounting principles and nonprofit operations ? Ability to manage workflows and delegate effectively ? Clear communication and client service skills ?
